Nicole - The texture was pretty much spot on, although I think next time I'd add a little cinnamon & nutmeg just to make them a tad bit sweeter and less savory.

Daddy - I bet your biscuits are sexy too. You should definitely whip some of these up for your girlfriend. She'll be so impressed.

Anna - The biscuits my gram makes are definitely from "scratch." I don't think I've ever had a Bisquick Biscuit. Maybe that's what you can make Chris and I when we come over for Lunch next Saturday ;)

How unique! Who would have thought of adding sweet potatoes?

You're going to LOVE Cooking Light. I've subscribed for like 6 years or something like that. I always find something yummy in each issue. And you'll learn alot too.

Those biscuits look great!! Did they have the texture of a regular biscuit or did the sweet potatoes change it?

all of your sexy cooking accoutrement gets me real hot and bothered... and makes me daydream of the time when i'll have a big boy kitchen with all my [own] grown up cooking tools and machinery.

i want your biscuits.

as of late i've been a bit obsessed with making biscuits. i make them for my girlfriend frequently and she kisses me as a thank you because they are delicious. i mostly make buttermilk but have tried my hand at the sweet potato and may try this one on for size.

your biscuits are sexy.

love,
daddy

Does your Gram make them from scratch? In high school my friends and I would always "cook." It was always a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese and Bisquick biscuits. I still have a soft spot for both! But those sweet potato busicuits look yumtastic. I am sending Xander this way to check it out!

wow, looks good! on one hand, biscuits seem like something that just need to be fatty. but since i love sweet potatoes so much, this looks worth a try. except that i'm too lazy.

biscuit making is not really in my family but my mother-in-law has influenced us into making them with Bisquick and other mixes or--even easier--just buying the Pillsbury ones in the freezer section. before i met my husband i think the only place i had biscuits was at KFC.
