Emma! Great to hear from you. I'm so glad you enjoyed the mojito post. A coconut version sounds to die for! I'll have to look up some recipes for that and give them my own personal test drive soon.

hi erin!
i am very much enjoying your blog today while wasting away a friday afternoon at work. i just got back from san francisco, where i had a COCONUT mojito at a mexican restaurant. for fans of coconut, this drink was AMAZING. i asked our waiter and he said that they use real coconut (they must blend it up or something), not coconut milk. if the warm weather holds out, i'm going to have to start making them.

Hi Melissa,

You know I've actually never had a Mint Julep. Maybe I should try those next? Do you have a favorite recipe?

Hi Sam,

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing the tip. I'm definitely intrigued to see if there's a taste difference between the two. As for the glasses, I believe I purchased them at Target two summers ago. They probably have something similar in stock though.

Hi! Stumbled upon this while reviewing my Flickr groups. I got a secret tip from the bartender at Carmen's Cuban Cafe, who self-confessed to making the best mojitos around (http://www.carmenscubancafe.com/) that instead of simple sugar, you can use bottled sugar cane juice. I know I've seen it in our local Asian Market and I'm in the second largest "city" in NC, so it should be easier to find where you are. I know our local Harris Teeter grocery store also carries fresh sugar cane that can be juiced. I love you perfectly suited glasses!
