LOVED ikea when we lived in seattle.

I must admit I now have shelf envy. and dutch oven envy. and plain envy in general that you can have glasses on a TRAY on a rack in your kitchen without CONSTANT FEAR that a child will be riding their bike into said shelf at any given moment.

(yes.. it's most wise to ignore the fact that I let my kids ride their bikes in the house. remember... I never claimed to be a good parent.)

Nice!! We've been looking for something similar to solve our overflowing-cabinets/big-empty-dining-wall problem. Seeing everything all nice and tidy must be inspirational in itself!

Congrats on a new addition:)How funny:) I have a very similar shelfy in my office-turned-into-photostudio-cookbookstorage-and-etc. It's a total mess:) Yours looks so organized and clean! I used to have the same tray you have there. I don't know where it is now:)

Jenny - I LOVE my painting. It's perfect. As for the purple glasses and pitcher, I believe it was from Crate & Barrel. I got it as a house warming gift once upon a time.

Julia - Thanks for the suggestion! That's exactly what I need! Those little hooks to hang my pots on.

Elle - Thanks Elle and the contest was fun -- I'm glad I won ;)

Erin & Lys - I actually got them at Home Goods before we moved here last year. Do you guys have Home Goods? Its like a whole store of those two aisles set aside in TG Maxx or Marshall's that have pots and pans and kitchen gadgets etc...

Michelle - Well technically it's in the dining room, but since the kitchen is right across the island we'll call it good ;) I had a mini kitchen in my last apartment too and it drove me insane. You'd open the cupboard and bags of rice would literally fall at your feet. Good times!

That shelving looks fabulous Erin!!!! My kitchen has little to no room - one of the reasons I didn't go with a standing pot rack and now, with the possible move, I am pretty much on "gadget/kitchen probation" for anything that might take up major cabinet room.

IKEA still scares me but I'm glad you were able to find what you needed at a great price!
