Could Erin Cut it as a Housewife in the 1930s?

Why does this not surprise me? My Women’s Studies professors from college will be so proud! Perhaps someone alerted the quiz scorers to the fact that I have “secret slob” tendencies surrounding closets, cupboards, and cubbyholes? Out of sight clutter doesn’t count in my book. I guess I should have also fibbed about cooking in my pajamas, enjoying a cocktail, and wearing red nail polish. You know the really important parts about having a successful relationship. What kind of a housewife are you? [Link via It's Alive!]

I got a 53. I think it was the cooking and being home during the day that did me in. Not sure if I should be happy or sad about that.

Hysterical! I got a NEGATIVE 8. Which I think makes me the worst wife in the world…

SO funny! I scored 20. Sad! I think I earned points on all the cleaning and housekeeping questions — and then promptly tanked them all when it came to the cooking questions (since I don’t/can’t cook. It’s all tin cans and delicatessens for me!

Damn. I got a 30. I guess it’s that whole ‘fails to please non-existent husband’ or ‘fails to clean non-existent children’ thing…. oh well.

I got a 72! That is frightening — but I think my points generally came from being friendly and not complaining about things! Either way, I’m obviously going to have to start wearing red nail polish.

I’m a six (”very poor/failure”). Which I think equals the number of boxes I was able to check.
