A Tate’s Bake Shop Giveaway

Note: This contest is closed. A hearty congratulations to Jeannette for winning the cookies and cookbook! 44 appears to be your lucky number!

Would you believe me if I told you that a mail order cookie could taste like homemade? I know…I know…I can hear you scoffing from the safety of your laptop, but I’m here to assure you that yes, Virginia, the cookies from Tate’s Bake Shop based in Southampton, New York will easily pass as fresh from the oven. How do I know this? Well a plate of their scrumptious Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies were set out for family to munch on during a post Thanksgiving cocktail hour and I was repeatedly asked if I had made them.

I’m sure that you’re all aware that I’m one of the biggest anti-crispy cookie haters on record, and I blush a bit when I say this, but Tate’s Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies were so buttery and addictive that I couldn’t stop eating them. It appears I’m going to need to rethink my crispy cookie stance.

Not only does Tate’s offer a wide selection of cookies, dessert bars, short breads, cakes, and pies but they’ve also compiled their famous recipes into a cookbook so now  you can make all of your favorites at home. I can’t wait to recreate those amazing crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies from my copy! To add a little more legitimacy to these fabulous desserts, my idol, Ina Garten penned the book’s foreword.

Are you drooling with anticipation yet? I certainly hope so because do I have a treat for you! One lucky reader will receive a Tate’s Bake Shop assortment of cookies (including the to-die-for Crispy Chocolate Chip) as well as a copy of the Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook.
