Erin! I cannot read your blog without my mouth watering and desperately wishing that I lived across the street from you like in the olden days. I still can't believe what a fabulous foodie you've become.

I too loved playing with fake food when I was a kid. My favorite thing to do was go "grocery shopping," where I would cut out pictures of food from flyers & magazines and tuck them into the chair rail around the dining room, then go around the room and select things to put into my little basket. Ha. I wish I liked grocery shopping that much now!

haven't seen that brie log yet... but that paired with the pilsbury croissant sheets with no seams seems like a sure-fire hit as an appetizer.

also? speaking of croissants... had a croissant rolled up with pumpkin butter and cream cheese at W-S the other day. YUMMO!!! I have some spiced apple butter from a local farm that I'm going to experiment with taking the pumpkin recipe as inspiration.

sigh.. I do love food....

I have a hard time not buying my son every toy food set we come across... he does love his little kitchen though.

Nice job on the Cookthink interview! I also have a bread (yeast) phobia. After too many not-rising loaves, I've sworn it off for years. I really, really need to get past that.

I saw that brie just yesterday at the store and put one in my basket without knowing what to do with it, it was just so brilliant. I was thinking turkey, bacon and brie paninis...
