I cannot read your blog without my mouth watering and desperately wishing that I lived across the street from you like in the olden days. I still can't believe what a fabulous foodie you've become. I too loved playing with fake food when I was a kid. My favorite thing to do was go "grocery shopping," where I would cut out pictures of food from flyers & magazines and tuck them into the chair rail around the dining room, then go around the room and select things to put into my little basket. YUMMO!!! I have some spiced apple butter from a local farm that I'm going to experiment with taking the pumpkin recipe as inspiration. sigh..
