Regarding the salt, it doesn&#039;t really matter what type you use.  A lot of cooks and chefs tend to use Kosher salt though. I do too since I freshly grind both my salt and pepper, but honestly, in my opinion that&#039;s just a little &quot;snobby&quot; Ina Garten addition.  The salt is simply added to bring out the other flavors so feel free to toss in a little Morton&#039;s table salt and call it a day :)

One last thing though...since Kosher salt has larger grains you would use 1/3 less salt if you replace it with table salt.
