Until you get over your gadget resentment, try fresh pasta from Monica's Salumeria on Salem St (http://www.yelp.com/biz/monicas-salumeria-boston). Yours look great and if your experience was like mine, my hat goes off to you for seeing it through to the end. I also found underfilling them was a good thing to do as I had a number which burst during cooking....lol, it added to my mood: all that hard work filling them for nothing!
