Grown-Up Tea Party at Create-a-Cook

I’m sure you’re more than aware of how much I love the classes at Create-a-Cook as I rave about them regularly. Last week when I received their newsletter announcing their latest offerings I squealed in delight (for real…ask my officemate) over the fact that they were hosting a child’s tea party inspired by the upcoming marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

I immediately wanted in, but figured the other 8-year-olds would probably think I was a freak show. However, when you’re as obsessed with all things royal and Kate Middleton in particular you sometimes have to swallow your pride. I’ll confess that I really have crazy princess envy. I mean come on. I  pre-ordered the No More Waity Katie Butter nail polish, flit about the house with my fake Princess Diana engagement ring, and pour over my Kate Middleton Google alert daily.  So after some excited princess themed tweeting surrounding the kid friendly tea party, Jo, the lovely proprietress of this awesome business, has agreed to offer a Grown-Up Sunday Tea Party.

I am so excited! The high tea party will take place on Sunday, April 17th at 2:30 PM. The price of the party will be $60 and we’re scheduled to make:

  • Finger Sandwiches (in the shape of a crown!)
  • Scones and Devonshire Cream, served with jam
  • Shortbread Cookies (heart shaped for love)
  • Banana Flan, which is Prince William’s FAVORITE dessert

You don’t have to dress-up but I’m hoping to find an awesome fascinator or maybe a tiara. By the way, while Create-a-Cook can’t serve us Champagne we are certainly welcome to bring in our own grown-up beverages. There are only 15 slots available so what are you waiting for?! Click here to register. I hope to see you there!
