My desire for Le Creuset to release their line of pink and lavender pieces in America is a well known and much complained about topic of cookware conversation. I simply can’t understand why they would keep such lovely colors overseas. Europe, Asia, and South Africa are so lucky. Anyway, I only have two eBay searches that are emailed to me every single morning and they involve pink (otherwise known as “antique rose“) and lavender Le Creuset products.
Originally I desperately wanted a pink dutch oven but after seeing how gorgeous the purple oven was online I decided that I would splurge on it first. So when I found out last week that I got the new job that I wanted so desperately I congratulated myself with a naughty Le Creuset splurge. I ordered a 3.5 quart lavender dutch oven and two precious ramekins shaped like a heart and a flower respectively from a really excellent eBay seller. I would highly recommend using her if you’re in the market for some rare Le Creuset colors.
This is just the beginning though. My new goal is to have an entire collection of pink and lavender pieces. I think I’m going to need a bigger kitchen, or at the very least more shelf space. Anyway, what should I cook in this gorgeous pot first? Risotto? Soup? Some mulled wine perhaps?
PS: Just an FYI that this color is actually branded as “Lilac Mist” by Le Creuset.

Oh my…. oh MY! Another ‘I must have this’ thing to add to my lengthy list of ‘unlikely to ever get’ things!
So fun! I love the lavender.
Can your kitchen, and all the cookware in it, BE any cuter?
Those are so precious!
I think I may have a new found need to have pink and lavender Le Creuset pieces! Europe, Asia, and South Africa are indeed very very lucky.
THE LE CRUSET OUTLET IN YAMASSE SOUTH CAROLINA HAS LAVENDER PIECES I WAS THERE 2WEEKS AGO.
Le Creuset = le swoon.
I never knew they have purple! Oh man. This is bad.
Oh my goodness how CUTE! I love the table runner too!
My husband bought my first Le Creuset piece as a Christmas gift two years ago. I had never in my life cooked with something so expensive and was scared to touch it. LOL I’ve since added a dutch oven to the buffet casserole he got me and they are by far THE most used pieces in my kitchen. I’m quite partial to the red!
OMG! I had no idea they came in pink and purple. Hmmmm. I see a splurge coming on. I love my le creuset collection. They definitely show the ware (they are a little stained inside) but I absolutely love them. The only thing that makes me a little sad is that they seem to have chips in places that are rusting. I seem to remember they have a great warranty (like All Clad) and have considered bringing them to my local outlet store to see what I can do. IT feels prissy but I’d feel sad if they rusted further.
OH MY GOSH. these are way beyond cute they are sooo fabulous. I’m in love!
Omg You got them!! SO beautiful!!! You must be so happy 🙂 And congrats on the new job!!
It’s GORGEOUS!! Congrats on your new job!!
oh how absolutely beautiful!! i didn’t even KNOW le creuset came in PINK!!!
my fiance will NOT be thanking you for this enlightenment 🙂
Bread! Definitely bake some bread in that baby. 🙂 I actually saw they have an eggplant color coming out, not lavender, but close and maybe easier to get your hands on. 🙂 I’ve got 3 pieces now (dutch oven, skillet, and stock pot) all in a lovely turquoise. Gotta love the colors!
I could get down with eggplant. Yay! I also have the turquoise stock pot. That color is fabulous. It just makes me smile.
I have just been coveting a Le Creuset Dutch oven this week actually! It will be on a wish list for down the road for now. I LOVE the lavendar you found – it’s really pretty. I think my wish list is for red though!
The ramequins are adorable ! I have a Le Creuset Dutch oven and the last thing I cookes was pork tenderlion. Not very exciting but it works so well…
Congratulations on the new job. I use my le Creuset Dutch oven for everything from soup to sauteeing to slow roasting pork shoulders. I’m sure you’ll love it.
Wow, this stuff ain’t cheap but is absolutely fabulous. Looking forward to seeing what you make.
Congrats on the new job!! 🙂
that’s so cute! The color reminds me of spring.
I love red so I’ll get some of their red cookware one day
Hey, Erin, how’ve you been? Long time no see. I have to buy myself a Dutch oven one day. A cute one, like yours. Lovely colors!
So pretty! Love the shapes too. If only this were a giveaway 🙂
I love the lavender! The most daring we have in our kitchen is red. I like lavender much better! ~ Belle
I have 2 Le Creuset pots, given to me for gifts, but I can honestly say they are so worth the money. I use mine for absolutely everything! I love the lavendar colors too!
ahhhhhh…le creuset, how i love thee!
We will have a purple color in the states. Right now it’s at the Le Creuset signature stores. It’s called Fig. Here’s a link to a photo of it.

ahhh! soo in love – beautiful!!
So pretty! Make mulled wine 😉
Goodness, congratulations on the job! I’m so delighted to hear you got something you’ve been wanting!
Also, I have something a Le Creuset problem (I’ve bought a couple of lots of vintage stuff on ebay, which has added up to a lovely but slightly overwhelming collection), and learning that they come in purple doesn’t help things.
oh wow, those are gorgeous!! i’m smitten 🙂 but i already have two red pieces…
congrats on the job 🙂
So envious! Those would match my lavender KitchenAid! I’ve never seen the lavender here in England though…I have the old satin blue (pale blue)… K x
If anyone lives on Long Island.
They have the lavendar at the outlet in
Riverhead.
I have the lavendar and have had it for
a few years.
I ordered it from a shop in London about 5 years ago.
I am waiting to see if they start selling the pink.
I’m not usually a purple person, but those are adorable! Especially the little flower. I’ve never seen that before. Thanks for the ebay suggestion, I don’t know why I never thought to check there for Le Creuset items. I’m currently drooling over the caribbean colored pieces.
Well, now I’ll have to add Le Creuset in Lavender to my long-term wish list! As a purple phanatic that has something purple somewhere in every room of my house, these would be a great addition to the kitchen purples.
Le Creuset has had an eggplant shaped purple ramekin for a while now, but it usually only comes in a set with green, red & yellow pepper shapes. I always hoped they’d do a full size eggplant, but if they did I missed it.
Someday…
What does everyone think of the Fig color in the link above? Wish I can get to a signature store to see it. Has anyone seen the Fig in person?
Purple is my favorite color and I love my Le Creuset pots almost more than my children – you are so lucky to own those. I have a boring blue 7 quart and an ugly orange 4 quart. I use them more than any other pot I own.
I have that table runner, too! And a few of the placemats in the same pattern – I just LOVE it. I’d love to find just the fabric itself.
I have a lovely oval Dutch oven from Le Creuset – in the Slate color – which looks pretty similar to the lavender. Really – there’s not much that beats a pretty piece of Le Creuset, is there? ;o)
That lavender is gorgeous. I love the flower pot- so dang cute!
Congrats on the new job!
Those are pretty! I got a large dutch oven at T J Maxx for half the price and the only color they had was kiwi – that was okay – I love it anyway! My favorite color is orange and orange and kiwi kinda go together after a few drinks.
Wow–that lavender is beautiful. It would look so springy next to the lemongrass color, which I also love. You should have a party and serve buffet-style from all of your beautifully-colored Le Cresuset pieces!
OOOH that is just fantastic erin!! good find and I love the colors, now go find more pink!!!!
i love it!! wish i could add this to my kitchen!
Those are so beautiful Erin I would not want to cook in them. I hope you can complete your set, I just love Ebay. Also Congratulations on your new job that is so great!
Oh my!! I would love to have one too!
I’m building a new house. The kitchen will have lavender walls and white cabinets. Where can I purchase lavender LeCreuset? I have had no luck.
thank you.
Hi Janice
I just found this website. If you are still looking for lavender Le Creuset-actually known as Lilac Mist-go to my site on Ebay. Type in Le Creuset Lilac Mist and you will see a 3.5 Qt Dutch Oven-pricey but the actual one sold in the Asian/Japanese market.
Sheellah,
Contrary to what you’ve posted I have done research into this issue and there is in fact a lavender color. It is currently sold exclusively out of the US mostly in Asia and South America. The seller is legit and the lavender color is as it appears in my images. The fig color that has recently been introduced is a very dark plum color and is much different from the lavender.
I believe the misconception may be from how I’ve worded the color. It’s actually known as “Lilac Mist:” http://www.lecreuset.co.za/Whats-New/Lilac-Mist/
YUP you tell ’em E Money!!! Two different colors. I have both the Lilac Mist AND the Fig & here they are take a peek:

Last night I went to Sur La Table & peeped the new Indigo a VERY deep purplish blue they will be selling just in time for the holidays, Le Creuset is making the color’s announcement at the end of the month early December…. *swoooooooooooooooooon* Look for it, it’s stun-NING! Right now you can check out the color on the silicone spatulas & brushes
Oh I forgot to thank you Sheellah for the tip! I went to the store as soon as I saw your post. Thanks for the heads up X
I can’t find the lilac mist. Has anyone seen it available recently? I couldn’t decide what color I wanted and then I saw the lilac mist and then there was no other color. Please help!
Single Serving, your short ribs look absolutely amazing and that potato casserole…all so yummmm looking. Would you have the recipes handy or point me to them if online? Thanks for the link to your blog and your photo. Yes, they are very different colors. Was good to see them together. Wasn’t there a color called Indigo in the outlets for quite a while though? Is it that same color that Sur La Table is getting? How does it compare to the Sonoma Blue that WS had for a while? With all these new colors, wanting one of each color can make a gal broke ;-).
This stuff sure is addicting isn’t it? Like expensive, big, shiny, heavy, jelly beans in all different pretty colors!
I don’t my heart can take going into a store like that. I was hyperventilating just looking at that photo of Le Creuset land. Where was that store located?
So pretty! This is my kind of splurge!
I’m in love! I love my le creuset but I really don’t like the colors . I always envy Giada’s White ones but from what I’ve read, they don’t make it anymore, at least not the one I want. Now I have something new to pine over.
Sur La Table has both the lilac and cassis colors. They are periwinkle and eggplant in color, respectively. I personally am dying to get my hands on the eggplant. I hate paying full price for absolutely anything but I also know I can’t sit around and risk not getting the color I want. I don’t know. But in the meantime, I’m going to hit up Marshall’s & TJ Maxx to see what they have.
I went to look at Sur La Table but they just have the Cassis color in the cast iron. The Lilac is only in the stoneware. I assume the Cassis is the Fig color or is it yet another purple? It would be strange though for LC to name two similar looking colors two different names. Maybe the one the signature stores have is called Fig abroad, and the same color is called Cassis here. Anyone know if they are the same or two different colors?
Shellah, I explained in my blog the color is indeed called Cassis, I think for marketing the Signature Store chose to call it fig. I have already bought both colors in the stoneware… I’m in LOVE! Michele, Sur La Table is also selling white but with the silver handle… good luck & HAPPY NEW Year!!!
The Lilac and Cassis colors are available at Sur La Table in the United States! I want all of it!!!!!!!

Hi Sheelah,
Certain retailers have made arrangements with Le Creuset to market the same color by a different name. For instance Sur La Table calls their bright green enamelware Kiwi and Williams Sonoma calls it Lemongrass. I have a few pieces from each of them and they are identical. The people from Le Creuset told me it is the same color exactly. It’s just for marketing purposes so that each of the retailers can claim exclusivity (which they do for the name, but not the color). Sort of a silly marketing game if you shop at both stores!
wow i have never seen such a pretty ramekin…the flower. I will have to check that out. I own the caribbean colour and slate, and am fighting to just keep it to those colours..the slate is so hard to come by nowadays though!!
Thanks Helen & Saer. Yes, WS is guilty of playing those games. Sometimes the label even gives the original LC color. During their after Xmas sale there was a piece in their Sonoma green color. Instead of that name on the box it said Classic Green, which is the actual color name that LC sold everywhere. They insisted though it was the Sonoma green. Their dark blue color that was prior to the Azure was called Electric blue and they were calling that Sonoma Blue.
I wonder if WS will pick up the Cassis and what they will call it. Their Citron was called Citrus before when it was done in the iron pepper casserole and stoneware.
i just bought a lavender le creuset casserole dish, such a great color! these are beautiful shots, love the kitty and the fabric you used 🙂
Le Chesseur do a soft pink cast iron pot but its heavier than Creuset. What about that?
has anyone seen the cassis(black currant) color at TJM, HomeGoods or Marshalls?
Do u still got the flower ? Can u sell it to me ?
My email is. [email protected]
