I think we’re all well aware of my love for both Julie Powell and the fantastic film version of Julie & Julia. In fact, I personally saw the movie in the theater 3 times. Yes, it was that good! Now just in time for the holiday season you can gift this feel good film to all of the foodies and chick-flick-loving people on your list. The Julie & Julia DVD will be officially released in stores on December 8th, 2009 but I’ve been given the opportunity (from the Julie & Julia PR team) to give away a free copy to one lucky Erin Cooks reader.

So are you ready to test your luck at potentially winning Julie & Julia? If so, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post.

In addition, If you share the link to this contest on your own blog, Twitter, Facebook etc… you may have one additional entry for a total of two possible chances to win. If you choose this option please leave a link to your shout out as your second comment. I LOVED this movie when we saw it (especially with some snuck-in wine ). It would be fun to win this so I can watch it again with my husband and friends. This is definitely one of those movies I can see a bunch of times and not get sick of.

Great blog! About a year ago one of my closest girl friends lent me her copy of Julia Childs’ My Life in France. At first I thought I might not be interested, but after a few pages I was hooked. I love to cook and I absolutely LOVED Julia’s memoir. Yet another reason to daydream about living in France where there are markets on every square. Thanks for the giveaway chance.

I really really want this!!! I used to watch Julia every week, then I watched the reruns over and over. When I saw the book, I had to have it, and absolutely loved it. Haven’t seen the movie cuz it’s hard for me to manage theaters, but the DVD is on my wish list, as well as my Netflix queue in case Santa isn’t listening Whatever happens, I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday.

I was abroad when the movie came out and by the time I came back to the US it was basically out of theaters, so despite the fact that I devoured the book and love Julia (I watched her Saturday PBS TV shows with Jacques Pepin when I was in elementary school), I haven’t seen the movie yet! My family were fortunate enough to go see this movie during the summer together. My mom really wanted to see it and my dad bought us all tickets. I loved this movie. I smiled so much during and for a long time after it. My husband liked this movie (even though there were no bad guys). I couldn’t wait to tell my mom about it. Turns out, she couldn’t wait to tell me about it. I just finished reading the book of the same title – given to me by my mom. And don’t tell, but my husband is reading it, too!
I would SO love to see this again. And again. And … well, you know.

I enjoyed the movie so much! I enjoyed knowing about both married couples, especially Julia’s relationship with her husband. How wonderful!! Nora Ephron was the director of my favorite movie, You’ve Got Mail, and I saw a lot of the same elements used in this movie. I absolutely loved it! Even if I don’t win, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of this contest. You’re blog is really great!!
