When I found this ice cream recipe I really wanted to alter it to use as a peanut butter treat to stir all of the leftover White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups into. But I struggled with whether or not I wanted to make it. You see the below ice cream base calls for using uncooked [...]

A Tantrum Free Omelet

August 6, 2008

Embarrassingly enough I can’t make an omelet. So I just don’t. I’m happy to whip up elaborate scrambles or even a quiche, but if I have to flip eggs in a pan it’s just not going to end very prettily. I know my limitations. Fortunately, my luxurious Hamptons-residing role model, Ina Garten, has introduced me [...]

Erin Cooks the Internet: May 23, 2008

May 23, 2008

Quick Mushroom Quiche

October 18, 2006

Quiche is one of my top 5 favorite foods.  I love the flaky crust, melted cheeses, and all of the yummy textures and veggies.  It’s the perfect meal, especially since you can serve it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  What more can you ask for?  PS:  Yes, real men really do eat quiche.  Just ask [...]

Ellie Krieger’s Scrumptious Scramble

October 1, 2006

My “edited” version of Ellie Krieger’s Scrumptious Scramble.  Essentially, throw whatever you have on hand into a pan, saute it in a small amount of olive oil, and combine it with scrambled eggs for a delicious breakfast.  I like serving eggs this way because I am a miserable failure when it comes to making omelets.

Chop! [...]
