I have the worst sore throat today. The only thing that is keeping me going at the office is cup after cup of this peppermint and licorice infused “Comforting” tea that I impulse shopped at Aveda a few months ago. It’s absolutely lovely. Wincing in pain every time I attempt to swallow a sip — not so much.

I hope you are feeling better soon! The colds always seem to start with school starting… whether or not you have kids. A spoonful of honey can help too.
YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR MOM MAKE YOU CHICKEN SOUP!!!
sorry, momma! though ‘wummy’ is on to something.. especially with those cute-assed noodles you boasted last week.
CKelly?? what say you??? The girl needs some TLC!!! at the VERY least some soup!
… feel better, babe.
xxoo
Hope you feel better [=
Feel better, Erin.
Get well soon, Erin!
Yuck! I hope you feel better soon. Try alternating between tea and ice cream
Oh no! I’m sucking down the zicam myself. Stupid end of summer/beginning of school colds! Feel better soon!
good to know! i’ve had that tea–when they hand it out free in the store! it has a very interesting taste.
i am a big fan of this tea–didn’t know it came in bags as have only had the loose leaf which is a major PIMA to brew (since i don’t own a french press unlike some bostonians i know). i hope you are better babe!
I love this tea! I purchased it at the Jean Madeline school the last time that I got my hair cut. It’s so soothing. I was raving about it and my boyfriend assumed it was just another (dumb) girly purchase of mine. But he was sick recently and I gave him the tea to calm his throat. And how he loves it, too! I wanted to say, “I told you so!” but I didn’t.
Ooo. Sore throats in the summer are the worst. I just got over a NASTY one myself. Must be something going around.
I must say I wish I would’ve thought of *this* as liquid comfort. Can’t hurt to pick some up for (inevitable) future downtime.
Cheers,
Miss G.
I’ve always enjoyed the Aveda products, cosmetics mainly. I had no idea they made or sold tea.
The Aveda tea is amazing. I love having a cup with milk while taking an Aveda scented bath. For sore throats though, another tea that works really well for me is called Organic Throat Coat by Traditional Medicinals. They sell it at health food stores but I’ve also seen it at Target.
For this I’d recommend just buying your own organic peppermint leaves and licorice root (easily found on the ‘net or at your local Whole Foods/coop), tossing together equal parts of both, and brewing. Just as good as the Aveda stuff, at a FRACTION of the price.
