Congratulations Emily! You were “lucky number” 44. You’ll be receiving the “Pink and Cheesy Party Duo” that includes Great Party Fondue and Party Confidential: New Etiquette for Fabulous Entertaining in the mail shortly. Thank you to everyone for participating! Your next opportunity to win is outlined below.

The Good Life

Fresh From the Farmer’s Market: Year Round Recipes for the Pick of the Crop was originally published in 1997 and reissued this year with an updated array of over 75 recipes accompanied by vibrant color images. This lovely book is organized by season and then by alphabet making it an essential reference tool to have on hand for your next market excursion.

If all of those gorgeous fruits and veggies have you feeling a little too green and healthy then I have the cure. Even if you’re not a fan of famed Manhattan bakery Amy’s Bread you can still appreciate the crave worthy dessert recipes found in The Sweeter Side of Amy’s Bread: Cakes, Cookies, Bars, Pastries and More from New York City’s Favorite Bakery including Gooey Coconut Dream Bars, Definitely Devil’s Food Cake, and Chocoholic Twists. These two cookbooks represent the best of both worlds so treat yourself this holiday season by indulging in a little of the good life.

To win the “The Good Life Duo” all you have to do is leave a comment on this post (one comment per person please). A winner will be selected via the nifty random number generator on Wednesday, December 3rd at noon. PS: You never know when these giveaways will pop up online so it might be in your best interest to subscribe to the Erin Cooks feed either via email or rss.

Hi Erin! I’ve been enjoying your site a lot lately.

I know this post was a while ago, but I’ve made the pumpkin rolls you posted tons of times!

2 Erin R November 26, 2008 at 12:39 pm

Ohh, I would love both of those cookbooks! I did a CSA this summer and will again next year so the farmers market one would be especially great!

38 Kate December 1, 2008 at 1:50 pm

This is a fun holiday blog idea!

39 Cathy December 1, 2008 at 1:56 pm

Love your site!!

40 Jess Mann December 1, 2008 at 2:59 pm

It’s ultra cool to see amy’s bread has a dessert cookbook out. My super coworker at the bakery in salem actually cut her bread-teeth on the night shift at amy’s and constantly regales me with stories and tricks she learned while juggling their thousand baguette night bakes.
It would be spiffy to win and all, but i’d much rather win some time with the lovely miss erin!
Give me a call lady, i’m thinking about coming into the city around the 14th.

41 Tammy December 2, 2008 at 12:44 pm

I’m planning to do a farm share this coming summer – the farmer’s market cookbook would be awesome!!

42 Kerri Anne December 2, 2008 at 3:03 pm

You are a Giveaway Queen, and you know I’m loving it. Also: I need to be a better cook, so I’m perpetually and compulsively entering these contests until I win! one.

43 Gwennie December 2, 2008 at 3:21 pm

Thanks for always posting great info, Erin! I love both of your sites!

-Gwennie

44 Tina December 2, 2008 at 3:51 pm

Pick me!

45 Jade December 2, 2008 at 4:49 pm

Ouuu! I would LOVE to win these books! Merry Christmas to me! I think I’d especially enjoy Fresh from the farmers market because I love cookie up veggies, but I’m always trying to find new ways to prepare them.

46 rachel December 2, 2008 at 6:44 pm

Just discovered your blog and I really like it! My boyfriend lives across the street from Amy’s and I am in there all the time!

47 Erin December 2, 2008 at 9:00 pm

Do you know it’s impossible to search this site for “Erin” to try to figure out if I’ve commented yet or not in this contest … freaking “Erin” turns up every other word practically. 😉
By the way, yeah, I still have a package for you sitting in my trunk … you’d think with mailing a zillion capes that yours would make it to the post office too. But it hasn’t. OK, now that I’m typing it here I’ll feel bad that I don’t mail it ASAP. So I will.
