It’s finally here! My suitcases are ready to go. The pink KitchenAid is packed and movers are busily taking our boxes away. The only thing left to do is call a cab. We’ll spend tonight at the airport hotel and then tomorrow CK and I will board a plane to San Francisco. Somehow it still doesn’t seem real. I wonder if everything will come into focus when our flight takes off at 9:00 AM? We’ll see. I can’t believe that tomorrow night I’ll be a “California Girl” and will officially have to trade in my Sam Adams for Anchor Steam. Eek!
Goodbye Boston

Safe travels, Erin! I know you’re going to be great addition to the West Coast. 🙂 Sadly, I don’t think the weather’s going to be very welcoming when you arrive, though.
Thank you Claire! It’s ok re: the weather. According to the weather man there wont be sunshine again in Boston until the 25th. I’ll take my chances in San Francisco 🙂
Good luck with your move!
I will more than likely be making the same move in a couple years, from New England to the Bay Area, so I’ll be watching how you adjust so I know what to expect in the future!
Also, Anchor Steam is delicious :).
Anchor Steam is so delicious! I actually already like it more than Sam Adams — especially since they ruined Sam Summer. I didn’t think it could get any more revolting than last year but I had one at Fenway last weekend and it tasted like Lemon Pledge. So sad. Onward and upwards!
oh erin i’m so happy & excited for you! you will LOVE cali.
it is one of the best places for food diversity & culture.
i hope someday soon i will be in your shoes and moving back to my hometown.
have a safe flight and congrats. a new chapter in life is always so good.
i better see posts about cali fish tacos. LOL!
Wishing you all the best with the move, Erin. I loved living in San Francisco and I hope you will too!
We’ll miss you (even from all the way up here in VT)! But perhaps we’ll get a chance to pop over to the left coast and see you there…
Good luck!
I’m so sad that you are moving away, I just discovered your blog! I’m sure that there is plenty of Boston food info in your archives.
So excited for you guys! I loooove San Francisco as a vacation spot, so I am excited to see how you like it as a place to live. Safe travels!

Safe move to the other side! 🙂
